Yup, it’s official - I am the proud mama of TWO boys! Our second son, Ian Scott Pendrak, was nowhere near as shy as his big brother at revealing his gender. While I lay on the ultrasound table, the tech asked if we wanted to know the sex. Before she even finished the sentence, Michael was celebrating in the background…which told me conclusively before I even got to see the screen that my little embryo was indeed another little boy!
We are super excited to know our new little guy’s name and to start making plans…although there actually aren’t many to be made! With another boy on the way, we find that we already have most of what we need. Clothes certainly aren’t a problem and we won’t need to make any changes to the nursery - except rearrange to make room for two and that won’t need to happen for awhile as Ian will stay in the pack ‘n play in our room for awhile. Ian is getting a little busier in his watery abode. I am feeling more frequent movement and when I do feel him I’m more positive that it is indeed my little guy. His daddy has been feeling my tummy to see if he too can feel the movement and we’ve had one “maybe” but I know we’ll have some definite kicks for him to feel before too long.
I’m finding pregnancy a little more uncomfortable this time around - mostly due to round ligament pain. When I stand or walk, I have a strong stretching pain around my belly. After a particularly busy day, the pain tends to stick around until I sit back down again. Other than that and a little heartburn though, I don’t have any complaints, so I guess I’m not doing too bad!
We’ll have another ultrasound in a couple of weeks to follow up on this one so I’ll be posting more pictures then! I can’t wait for another peek at my little son!
